Using the Tio Boh? brand

Everything here is free to use when you are writing about us, listing the app, or working with us. Take the files as they are. The one thing we ask is that you do not redraw or recolour the marks.

The name is always written Tio Boh?. The question mark belongs to the name rather than to the sentence around it.

The marks

Use the lockup wherever there is room for it. Reach for the head mark alone only where the name already appears, or where the space is too tight for type to stay legible.

Lockup

Reach for this one by default. The head mark and wordmark together, spaced as we set them. Use the white version on dark or photographic grounds.

Wordmark

The name on its own, set in SN Pro ExtraBold. For places the dragon is already present, or where an icon would crowd the layout.

Head mark

The dragon’s head on a transparent ground. For favicons, avatars, and anywhere the name is already written.

App icon

The icon exactly as it ships on the App Store and Google Play. It is square and full bleed, so please don’t crop it or round the corners yourself.

Mascot

The full-body dragon, on a transparent ground. For illustrations and features about the app, rather than as a logo.

Clear space

Keep free space of at least a quarter of the icon’s height on all four sides of the lockup. Keep everything else out of that margin, including the edge of the page.

Minimum size

Lockup: 120 px wide on screen, 30 mm in print. Head mark on its own: 24 px. Below that the whiskers close up and the face stops reading.

Writing the name

Two words, a capital on each, and the question mark every time.

What you may do with these

You may use the marks on this page, unaltered, in news and reviews, app directories and listings, event and partner materials, and academic or community work about Singapore’s dialects. You do not need to ask first.

What you may not do is change the marks, or use them in a way that suggests we made, endorsed or sponsored something we didn’t. The marks stay ours, and this page isn’t a transfer of any rights in them.

For anything outside that, like merchandise, a modified mark, or a use you’re unsure about, just email us. We answer every message, and we’re easy to deal with.
